This bread has a great taste and texture, though it’s not really a “brown” bread. Rises quite well for gluten-free bread.

The product
Glebe Farm is a working arable farm near Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. They produce a variety of gluten-free flours and mixes, including a white bread/pizza mix and a sultana scone mix.

The verdict
You can make up this mix with or without the yeast sachet (using baking powder to make soda bread instead). I used the yeast and although it didn’t rise much while proving, it rose quite a bit in the oven. It has a very nice flavour and the seeds added some good texture but it was very pale for a brown bread.

Glebe Farm Gluten Free White Bread and Pizza Mix
This bread has a pleasant enough flavour, and was delicious straight out the oven with a little butter. It’s a little blander than the brown seeded version, however.  Tasted by Gluten-free Sam.

Glebe Farm Gluten Free Sultana Scone Mix
These taste very good (and very buttery if made up with the butter!), but not quite like a real scone. Those who tolerate dairy add butter and yoghurt, those who don’t can replace with mashed bananas. Tasted by Gluten-free Sam.
