I’ve has tasted Brockmans Intensely Smooth Premium Gin … should you buy it or leave it on the shelf?

Brockmans’ blurb reads:  Brockmans Gin brims with botanicals and with berries that make it a very different gin taste experience: The top note of Bulgarian Coriander has an aromatic, gingery orange flavour, which marries beautifully with the softer, more rounded harmonies of blueberries and blackberries and the middle note created by Juniper Berries from Tuscany. This inspired combination, together with the dry, bitter sweet peel of Valencian oranges, elongates the deeper tones and serve to give Brockmans an intensely smooth, memorable taste.

OK: As you would expect for a Gin that hovers around the thirty quid mark, it is a 40 percenter, rather than the regular 37.5%.  As any Gin drinker knows, alcohol helps to retain flavour and the higher the percentage, the longer and more flavoursome the taste experience.  The style of Brockmans  sits somewhere between the flavoursome Plymouth and the subtle  Bombay Sapphire. But how does it taste?

The tasting note: If you are Gin aficionado then this super smooth sipper with its elegant mix of peel fruits, soft spices, hedgerow berries, stone fruits and flagrant floral notes is heaven sent.

Should you buy it?  It’s pricey, and almost too good for that G&T, but a moreish must for Gin Martini and Pink Gin drinkers. If £30 is not an issue, grab a bottle, and your tastebuds will be dancing long after the swallow.
