Tasted: Furleigh Estate Rosé Sparkling Wine

Not cheap, but this pink English sparkler will give any fifty quid champagne a run for its grapes!

The product:
Furleigh Estate sparkling rosé,  is made from 60% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir, 5% Pinot Meunier and is produced by the ’Traditional Method’,  a production process that almost mirrors the making of champagne.  All the right boxes ticked then to make a half decent sparkling wine.

The verdict:
Many sparkling wine producers from around the world use the same grapes and an almost identical production process to that of the champagne makers, but very few get close to the real thing! End of. However, this pink English sparkler is one of the rare few that delivers a champagne-like presentation and taste.  Not cheap, but worth every pink bubble.
