Great gluten free flaked cereal with a nice crunch and pleasant almost nutty taste.

The Product:
Nature’s Path specialise in gluten free breakfast products that you really wouldn’t know were gluten free unless you’d been told! Breakfast cereals can be a bit of a challenge for vegans as well as those who avoid gluten. We avoid all animal products and it’s surprising how many well known brands make an otherwise suitable product a no go area by adding a type of vitamin D that is derived from animal products.

The Verdict:
I was really delighted to discover these products as I’ll now be able to make chocolate crispy cakes and marshmallow squares again as well as consuming them at breakfast time. The Mesa Sunrise is similar to a cornflake type cereal but with an extra boost from the addition of flaxseed, quinoa and amaranth. The cereal has a nice crunch and pleasant almost nutty taste. I enjoyed it with added fruit, particularly chopped banana and a bowl kept me going until lunchtime.
