Araldica Corsini Barbaresco?
A richly flavoured Italian red wine that’s good enough to complement your best home-cooked food! Your wine savvy mates will love it too.

The product:
This Barbaresco red wine is part of the Waitrose Vegetarian Foodie Case. Interestingly, there is no indication on the bottle that it’s suitable for vegetarians, you have to get the Can I Eat It? App to know that.

Barbaresco? The baby brother of Barolo! Made from the same thick- skinned Nebbiolo grape, but it is more approachable than Barolo, the Piedmont region’s star player, but it still delivers serious black fruit flavour, acidity and tannins. A food wine not a mid-week quaffer.

The verdict:
Want to impress your wine savvy-mates with a decent Italian red wine? You’ll struggle to find a better Barbaresco than this on the supermarket shelves.
