I’ve tasted Quorn Peppered Steaks… should you put a pack in the trolley or leave them on the shelf?
The Quorn blurb reads: Deliciously succulent Quorn steaks topped with green and red peppers and cracked black peppercorns.
OK: Quorn has taken on burgers, sausages and mince, but meat-free steak is a tougher sell. The two in this pack are decently sized and cook quickly and easily – so how do they taste?
The tasting note: Think Quorn burgers but flatter. It’s still a case of texture over taste, though a peppery coating lends some welcome heat and spice. Buy them if the price fits – but you’ll want some sauce on hand.
