Rich, chewy and intense. This Crunchy Peanut Butter Clif Bar tastes like a cross between fudge and a flapjack.
I first tried Clif bars about 6 years ago on trips to the States which is where they hail from. They’ve recently become widely available in the UK. Their unique selling point is that they are more than just a basic cereal bar. They contain protein, fibre and lots of added vitamins and minerals.
One of the things I like about Clif Bars is that they seem more indulgent than a lot of energy bars containing ingredients like chocolate and in this case peanut butter. They are also really filling and I found half of one at a time filled me up. I’ve found all of the Clif Bars I’ve tried to have a slightly chalky taste to them but this hasn’t detracted from my enjoyment of them. This peanut butter bar is my favourite out of the range. It’s so rich and gooey I forgot that I was eating something with health benefits!
