It’s what those little gold wrapped pieces of chocolate are that are to be found on the counter of one of the UK’s biggest coffee shop chains, Gianduja chocolate originates in Italy and is a sweet type of chocolate made with hazelnut paste. The creaminess of the nuts eliminates the need for any dairy products making it a great alternative for dairy avoiders who are looking for an alternative to dark chocolate.
The Vego bar has caused much excitement in the vegan world recently, not just for it’s great taste but for it’s size. You get 5 huge chunks which are packed with whole roasted hazelnuts. You cannot eat one of these in one go! It’s very rich tasting and it’s hard to believe there’s no dairy or substitute plant milks as the taste is so sweet and creamy. Texture wise it just melts in the mouth. It’s a bit more expensive than some other bars on the market but it will take several sittings to finish it and the quality is absolutely top notch.
