Tasted: Geeta’s Lime and Chilli Chutney

By Veggie Tom
Sweet, sour, spicy and totally delicious – this is a masterclass in chutney making.

The product:
I love things in jars. Pickles, chutneys, pastes… you name it. Done right, the art of preserving can be a masterclass in deep, balanced flavours – and Geeta’s is a brand that regularly hits the nail on the head.

The verdict:
Lime and Chilli Chutney is the product that made me fall for Geeta’s range of Indian preserves. It’s got plenty of the sourness of classic Indian lime pickle, but it’s balanced by a pitch perfect degree of sweetness, which lets the fruitiness of the lime sing. A punch of chilli adds an extra element to make what is, without doubt, one of the best chutneys on the shelves.
