Crunchy, very moreish, tasty, smokey bacon crisps that even veggies can enjoy.
It’s pretty easy these days to give veggie products meaty flavours by using items such as yeast extract, liquid smoke and onion and garlic powders. These can be used to flavours products such as tofu, tempeh, all kinds of fake meats and in this case even crisps. Yes, you may be surprised to discover that quite a range of meat flavoured crisps on the market are in fact also suitable for vegans!
I have to admit I would pick a maize over a potato based crisp any day. These crisps get everything right. The sweet, smokey, salty flavours are addictive. As it’s quite difficult to find small bags of crisps these days with most bags coming in at 50g I liked that these are 20g which felt just right for a serving size. The crunch is good and the appearance is attractive.
