Crunchy mixed beans with a fiery wasabi coating – these are lovely little snacks.
I love a bit of wasabi. This fiery, green Japanese flavour brings a horseradish-style kick which is perfect for snacking – and it can turn a dull-sounding ingredient like roasted beans into something truly delicious. But it needs to be handled with care. Does Whitworths get the balance right?
It’s a big thumbs up for these wasabi beans. Crunchy without being too hard, covered with a moreish rice flour and corn starch coating – and generous with the wasabi. They’re also much lower in fat than wasabi-coated peanuts.
