Tasted: Butterkist Thai Sweet Chilli Flavour Popcorn

By Veggie Tom
A decent low calorie snack with nice sweetness and a chilli kick.

The product:
Popcorn’s big this year – and Butterkist is one of the best known brands. I’ve always found its toffee popcorn a guilty pleasure, so I’m interested to see how this more calorie conscious variety shapes up.

The verdict:
Thai Sweet Chilli flavours need to deliver on sweetness and heat – and this does, hitting you with a sugary, salty, savoury taste followed by a good kick of warming chilli. It doesn’t satisfy like a good crisp – but what does? This is a solid option for sofa snacking.
