Martin Isark Tasted 2005 Claret

I wrote in November 2009 that the 2005 was the vintage of the century, and may prove to be the vintage of the last as well. I said the big stars of the Left Bank & Right Bank were Ch. Margaux Ch. Pétrus and the prices of the very best wines will continue to soar, as demand outstrips supply. The prices below are from the brokers price list in November 2009, please click the link on each wine to see today’s price. If you had taken a punt in 2009 on the 2005 Bordeaux you’d now in 2020 be ‘smelling the profit of claret’s grapes’!
