The product:
If anything straddles the divide between health food and indulgence, it’s yoghurt. And Total is a brand which has found the perfect middle ground, straining its Greek yoghurt for maximum thickness, even when the fat is reduced all the way down to zero. Its Fruyo range, launched late last year, takes this template and throws fruit into the mix.
The verdict:
I’ve eaten my way through all the Fruyo flavours, and I am completely sold. This is some of the best yoghurt you’ll find in the supermarket chiller section today – thick, creamy and full of flavour. It’s a good job the label points out that it’s 0% fat, because you’d never know. There isn’t a dud note in the range, but my personal favourites are the deeply fruity blueberry and cherry flavours, and the deliciously rich vanilla.

Ingredients (Blueberry flavour): Strained yoghurt [pasteurised skimmed cow’s milk, live active yoghurt cultures (L. Bulgaricus, S. Thermophilus, L. Acidophilus, Bifidus, L. Casei)], blueberries (8%), sugar, corn starch, lemon juice concentrate, natural flavour.
Can you eat it? It’s vegetarian and there’s no gluten, but of course vegans will need to give it a miss.
