Tasted: Dell’ Ugo Devilish Chocolate Fiorelli Dessert

By Martin Isark
Want something different to impress your dinner party guests? Dell’ Ugo’s fresh pasta filled with liquid chocolate and cream cheese is a must try, especially, when served with a dollop of vanilla ice cream.

The product:
Never in the UK, but in Italy I’ve eaten filled pasta as a dessert several times, the most memorable being a pear and cream cheese one in Tuscany. The packet recommends boiling or deep fat frying. If you boil, the most popular way of cooking fresh pasta, it needs to be drained well  to remove the surface water! Either way delivers a hot pasta mouthful with a creamy moriesh chocolate bite.

The verdict:
Enjoyable on their own, but they work best when served with a dollop of  vanilla ice cream.
